PM Vidyalaxmi explained

For students admitted to India's top 860 institutes with family income under ₹8 lakh, the central government pays a 3% interest subvention on education loans up to ₹10 lakh during the moratorium period. Loans up to ₹7.5 lakh also get a 75% credit guarantee, which is why no collateral is needed. We file the subsidy application along with your loan so nothing gets missed.

Section 80E tax benefit

The entire interest you pay on an education loan is deductible from taxable income under Section 80E for up to 8 years, with no maximum limit. For a family in the 30% slab paying ₹1.5 lakh interest a year, that is roughly ₹45,000 back annually.
